To help preserve our environment, we have enacted the following steps and will carry on implementing new ones.

WASTE DISPOSAL

1.     We recycle paper and have separate disposal for plastic waste and others

2.      In our restaurant, we use large containers rather than individual portions and are trying to recycle all containers

3.     In your room we use dispensers for toiletries thereby eliminating small plastic bottles and waste

ENERGY

1.     We have solar panels to warm up our panoramic pool and we buy  electricity produced by hydro electricity

2.     Water saving devices are installed on taps

3.     We equip public and staff areas with motion sensitive switches, and reduce lighting during the night

4.     We are replacing incandescent bulbs with energy saving ones, including LEDs

5.     We offer transfers and transportation with hybrid vehicles and offer free parking to all electric vehicles

6.     We suggest activities and incentives in nature for your seminar

7.     You can carbon compensate your trip to Nice

8.     You can buy online our spa treatments and products, so with no trip involved

9.     You can rent a bike in front of the hotel

10. We installed a new air conditioning and heating system with energy efficient heat pumps enabling us to reduce our natural gas consumption and our carbon emissions

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTS

1.     We use environmentally friendly products, that will not harm human beings or the environment

2.     Our toiletries are 100% natural

3.     All our rooms are non smoking, as well as restaurant, bar, conference rooms and public spaces

4.     Carpets in our rooms are made of natural wool

LOCAL ACTIVITIES, CULTURE and GASTRONOMY

1.     On our website the Agendasection gives you the details of all the events going on the French Riviera

2.     We promote local artists such as the photograph exhibit "Colors of Nice" in august 2011

3.     Our staff lives on the Cote d'Azur and can give you information and insights

4.     Our website suggests sightseeing and interesting places

5.     Our staff and management are involved in local institutions such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Marseilles, and the Nice University

6.     Our panoramic restaurant uses local products, and promotes local Mediterranean cuisine; vegetarian and vegetalian meals are available

7.     Our panoramic restaurant does not serve endangered species or fish
